Theresa is a dynamic NYC-based choreographer, dance teacher, group fitness instructor, dance presenter and event director with over 25 years of experience bringing joy and movement to communities of all ages.
She’s brought her vibrant energy from the classroom to the stage—leading crowd-pleasing master dance classes at SummerStage and teaching at top fitness centers such as Crunch, Equinox, Plus One (an Optum company), New York Sports Club, New York Health & Racquet Club, and more. Currently, she teaches for Fordham University, Northeast YMCA, and various school enrichment programs and youth organizations across NYC.
Theresa’s ability to unite people through dance has made her a sought-after instructor for corporate events and community pop-ups with partners like Merrill Lynch, The Bronx Night Market, Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, and NYC Council Member Kevin C. Riley’s Summer Block Party Sounds/Hip Hop series, to name a few.
Earlier in her career, Theresa was featured in dance and fitness segments on Telemundo, WB11 News, CBS Morning News, and Fox 5 Good Day New York. Her dedication to community outreach — including donating dance classes to children and youth in homeless shelters and schools — earned her the title of NY1’s 'New Yorker of the Week' in 2015.
As a choreographer, Theresa’s credits include work with Fordham University Dance Team, BMCC Dance Team, the Bergen Community College Music Festival, and singing artists such as La Sara, Eric Redd, Von Sway, Anastasia Koss, and Rayvon. She’s also choreographed for events including the Revlon Run/Walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and Fashion Week at Capezio’s NYC.
In addition to her passion for dance, Theresa has a deep love for uplifting youth and providing spaces for them to shine. She is the Founder, Host, and Director of the Strut Ya Stuff Talent Contest for Kids — a vibrant platform that celebrates and empowers young performers ages 5–19. Through this annual showcase, she creates a safe, inspiring space where youth can build confidence, express their creativity, and discover their unique voices. Strut Ya Stuff is more than just a show — it's a movement that nurtures self-belief, encourages big dreams, and helps the next generation realize their limitless potential.
Whether on stage, in the studio, or in the heart of the community, Theresa is dedicated to inspiring joy, movement, self-expression and more through the power of dance.
